Alan Freisleben J.D.
Alan Freisleben has over 30 years of experience handling all aspects of dispute resolution including trials, appeals, mediations and arbitrations. He has particular expertise in insurance law, errors and omissions litigation, the defense of holding companies from claims of institutional bad faith, alter ego and joint enterprise liability as well as breach of fiduciary duties.

Daina Petronis has more than 25 years of professional services marketing experience and oversees Arcina’s marketing, business development and operations functions. A results-producing B2B marketing executive, she enjoys building things - teams, departments, programs and processes - to help companies grow. Daina launched Arcina’s brand identity in 2009. Prior to returning to the firm in 2016, she was a marketing director with the global law firm Sidley Austin LLP overseeing four California offices.

Michael Salem has more than 15 years of experience handling insurance coverage and coverage litigation matters in the areas of intellectual property, professional liability, toxic torts, construction defects and clergy sexual abuse. He is instrumental in setting insurance archaeology strategy, negotiating with carriers to deliver results and advising clients on insurance recovery.

Jeff Moerschel is a seasoned veteran of the industry having held senior level positions with insurance carriers and third-party administrator companies. He has an extensive background in workers compensation and casualty claim auditing in addition to product liability, TPA selection, asbestos coverage analysis and management, retrospective claims adjustment, pre-underwriting auditing and open claims analysis. Jeff has conducted insurance archaeology along with legacy acquisition reconstruction to assist in locating historic policies.

Brad Weise, a licensed attorney in both California and Washington, is a founding member of Arcina and brings particular expertise with subrogation and complex claims recovery. He has delivered in upwards of a 99% subrogation recovery for insurers and carriers. His work with Arcina’s insurance archaeology practice has helped recover millions of dollars for clients.

Jeff Green is a seasoned insurance executive with more than 30 years of industry experience with contractual risk transfer and delivering risk financing solutions. He has particular expertise with contract compliance and a proven track record for complex project advisory in the construction industry consulting on billion-dollar projects. Jeff has designed construction insurance requirements for owners and general contractors, and consulted and trained clients on compliance issues.

Rejo Mathew has nearly ten years of experience having worked at the carrier, broker and client level. Rejo manages mass tort and complex general liability claims notification on behalf of Fortune 1000 clients and insurance carriers. Skilled in claims management as well as the advocacy component, he works effectively with counsel and carriers. Rejo has drafted insurance requirements, created safety programs as well as advised on the insurance provisions of contracts.

A licensed attorney in California and Iowa, Dave Koller has more than 30 years of experience handling highly complex, multi-party asbestos insurance and environmental coverage matters. Dave joined Arcina in 2020 to assist with the growing demand of the firm’s insurance archaeology practice. He interfaces with carrier representatives, advocates on behalf of clients on defense fee and indemnity coverage, and strives to formulate practical solutions to complicated challenges. His expertise includes policy review and analysis along with insurance claims recovery.

Nick Early specializes in complex claims management and advocacy for Fortune 1000 companies. He has particular expertise handling asbestos claims within the automotive industry and has developed a keen understanding on how to manage the client, insurer and defense counsel relationship to achieve optimum results.

Maria Magalona is a seasoned claims specialist responsible for overseeing claims programs for various clients. She monitors losses, maintains strict records, calculates allocations, tracks expenses, claim trends and impairment data. Maria also prepares claims notifications to insurance carriers on behalf of clients and processes annual status reports to both the clients and insurers.

Bernie Harrington brings decades of experience in claims administration, risk identification and analysis, evaluation of risk financing options, and design of loss control techniques. He joined Arcina in 2010 after a 20-year career with Honda North America as the national claims administrator.

Nick VanHole, who joined Arcina in 2019, is a historical researcher and archivist with particular expertise locating insurance policies. He employs creative approaches to locating new research areas and repositories for potential evidence of insurance. A relationship builder, Nick has been challenged to pursue what others have found to be “dead ends” with several of projects.

Tarek Moghnie brings more than 15 years of information technology experience to implement machine learning and data science tools in risk management. He specializes in designing databases and data analytics applications as well as providing end to end solutions from claims management systems implementation to cloud deployment.

Frecie Ravago is a licensed fire and casualty broker and experienced claims coordinator. She reviews complex and asbestos claims for noticing to various insurance carriers as well as processing defense costs and indemnity payments for submission to carriers on behalf of multi-national companies.
Enrica "Ritchie" Lee
Ritchie Lee has more than 30 years of experience in claims administration. She is instrumental in preparing claims notifications for asbestos as well as workers compensation to insurance carriers on behalf of clients. Ritchie has prepared and monitored loss run reports as well as worker compensation incidents reports.
Christmas Myers oversees Arcina's office operations in addition to client claims handling. She interfaces regularly with clients, defense counsel and insurance carriers to resolve legacy claims. A former paralegal, she is experienced with legal research, supervising teams and managing legal administrative duties.
Malcolm Robey provides day to day office administrative support to maintain operations across locations and with the consulting team across the U. S. He joined Arcina’s growing team in 2019. Previously, Malcolm worked in legal recruitment and staffing. Malcolm earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
